Where Does Energy Come From?

Energy is all around us!

For our activities, we use electricity which is produced using different fuels in power stations. This energy travels via power cables from the power station to our buildings.

Our vehicles are powered by fossil fuels named petrol or diesel, which is a type of stored energy.

The energy used to heat our buildings includes fuels such as oil, coal, gas and wood.
